I sent some photos to friends and family yesterday and the question I got back was if the weather was okay because it looked overcast. It was actually a beautiful sunny hot day, but there was a massive haze in the air. For the past few months, every few weeks we get mass amounts of smoke haze. They are from forest fires in Indonesia. Some illegal slash and burn is being used in Kalimantan and Sumatra to clear land. The fires then spread due to the dry season and become massively out of control. The smoke then travels across the ocean and affects a lot of Southeast Asia, and where we are located seems to be one of the most affected locations.
