Costco on a Saturday in Japan is heaps more manageable than in Canada!!!

Shin took me on a little adventure to Costco yesterday. It’s a bit of a drive but not bad and kind of a fun experience.  Looks very similar and they still have samples.  Check out the crazy castle.  But not nearly as many people.  Didn’t feel claustrophobic or that I needed to get out!!! The parking lot was filled with what Shin calls “Sleeping Policemen” – speed bumps.  Hilarious expression learned in Japan!

I truly wasnt expecting the same Costco sizes

Magnetic cart escalators like IKEA

Electric squeegee

The massive castle made me laugh!

I wonder if we have these Frizen dolls in Canada???

I *was* looking forward to the cracker aisle. This was it! Sad!

Not so Super Size but huge for Japanese standards. Thanks Shin for the adventure!

  1. Costco usually has those Stone Wheat Thins! I hope you were at least able to buy a liter of maple syrup for the equivalent of $14 (though I’ve just been hooked up with an affordable Quebec single-source provider and will save the Costco stuff for syrup emergencies).
